The Magistrate's Court today (Thursday) agreed to extend the restrictive conditions on Tzachi Braverman, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's chief of staff. This is as part of the investigation into the "night meeting" affair he had with the former spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office for Military Affairs, Eli Feldstein.

Braverman will be removed from the Prime Minister's Office and will not be able to leave Israel until February 10th.

Braverman's lawyer, Jacques Chen, protested the delay in leaving the country, noting that the chief of staff's appointment as ambassador to London was signed on February 9 - and made it clear that he could return within 12 hours when the police asked to question him - and if not, he would be in violation of the terms.

""We send an ambassador to shake the hand of the King of England, to sign his charter - with the enforcement authorities hot on his trail," he said.

Yesterday, the police requested an extension of the restrictive conditions imposed on Tzachi Braverman. As part of the restrictions, the police are requesting that Braverman be prohibited from contacting three Shin Bet agents whose names were mentioned in the affair.

This is in addition to the ban on contacting Prime Minister Netanyahu, Eli Feldstein and Yonatan Urich, and the ban on creating from within the country.

Earlier this week, a significant development was noted in the investigation of the affair. Following the latest findings, it was decided to issue a blanket publication ban on the case.

The order applies to all future investigation results as well as to any material that may reveal Shin Bet methods and means.
