According to the indictment, several months ago, late at night, the defendant, along with his brother and other people, entered a supermarket in the Beit Hanina neighborhood, where the complainant worked at the time. During their stay there, one of the suspects took a toast sandwich, drinks and pastries, and when asked to pay for them, a verbal confrontation broke out between them over the payment, which amounted to only 36 shekels.

The indictment stated that during the confrontation, the defendant's brother began to get angry, curse, and threaten the complainant and his family. Attempts by the defendant and others to calm things down and get the brother out of the store were unsuccessful.
At this point, the defendant took the sandwich from the store counter and passed it to his brother, who threw it forcefully at the complainant's face, hitting him.
Later, as the confrontation escalated, those present tried to remove the brother from the store, but he went back inside, took various objects from the store counter, and threw them at the complainant's head and body. At this point, the defendant grabbed the complainant's shirt, pulled him across the store counter, and began hitting him several times with his hands.
The complainant tried to defend himself, but the defendant continued to violently attack him. At the same time, the defendant's brother joined the attack, throwing objects at the complainant and hitting him.
Later, the two took boxes of gum from the store and threw them forcefully at the complainant.
As a result of the violent attack, the complainant suffered serious injuries and required medical treatment.
Following the report of the incident, Sheft police officers opened an investigation, collected evidence and findings, and the investigation revealed that the defendant and the complainant had a prior acquaintance, following a similar violent incident that occurred about a year earlier.
Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued against the defendant.
When the police arrived to arrest him, the defendant attempted to escape, but was caught and arrested by the police. The defendant was brought to the police station for questioning, imprisoned, and his detention was extended from time to time by the court.
Today, an indictment was filed against him for the offenses of assault and causing actual damage by two or more people, as well as intentional damage to property.
An indictment was already filed against the defendant's brother several months ago.
