A 16-year-old Haredi boy who participated in the extremist demonstration from the "Flag" on Highway 4 was hit this evening (Monday) by a vehicle that ran over him and continued driving.

Rescue forces called to the scene treated the injured man and evacuated him in moderate condition to Schneider Hospital in Petah Tikva.

Bnei Brak police arrested a suspect in the incident, a 24-year-old resident of Bnei Brak.

Another suspect, a 37-year-old scooter rider from Herzliya who was driving while attempting to run over protesters, was also detained for questioning. The faction's protesters set the motorcycle on fire.

MDA emergency medical personnel Ronald Keikob, Menachem Stern, and Naftali Lontal said: "We were near the interchange. Citizens called us and said that a boy had been hit by a vehicle. When we arrived, we saw a boy about 16 years old who was conscious and suffering from injuries to his head and limbs. We gave him medical treatment and evacuated him in an MDA ambulance to the hospital, where his condition is described as stable.".

Rescue paramedics Yaakov Tehrani and Menachem Stern added: "When we arrived at the scene of the traffic accident, we found a pedestrian, a 16-year-old boy, suffering from injuries to his abdomen, pelvis, and lower limbs, after being hit by a vehicle during a demonstration taking place at the scene. Together with rescue and MDA paramedics, we provided him with initial medical treatment, including immobilization and dressings, and he was evacuated in moderate condition to continue receiving medical treatment in the trauma room at Schneider Hospital in Petah Tikva.".

Yanki Schlesinger, a United Hatzalah medic: "I was present at the scene of the demonstration when we were informed that the pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle and injured in his lower body. With the assistance of other medics, I provided him with medical treatment at the scene and he was then taken to the hospital in moderate condition.""
