A unit fighter in the Commando Brigade was left alone for 40 minutes in a Palestinian village in the Jenin area after falling asleep during an operational activity.

According to a report by Roy Sharon today (Monday) on 'Kan News', the fighter woke up and managed to join the force.

Two fighters and an officer were sentenced to prison following the incident.

The unit commander and the commando company commander investigated the incident - and the investigation revealed that it was "a serious incident, which does not meet the standard expected of soldiers and commanders in the IDF, and in particular in a special unit.".

The team commander, the squad commander, and the two fighters involved in the incident were sentenced to life in prison.

The fleet commander will be summoned for a command conversation with the commander of Division 98.
