Less than two weeks after the 'gliding flight': Bnei Brak Mayor Hanoch Seibert was once again spotted on a plane on his way abroad. This time, it is apparently a private visit.

The person who exposed the flight of the mayor and city officials to Florida in what was called the "gliding flight" was Yaakov Wider, a member of the city council. According to him, the behavior of the city officials aroused great anger among the city's residents and was in the public discourse for many days.
Vider, who serves as a militant opposition in the municipality, reacted sharply to the new report: “The residents of Bnei Brak are at the top of the poverty rankings in Israel. A large part of them have never seen an airplane, and can only imagine vacationing abroad. Meanwhile, the business-minded leadership keeps juggling flights, vacationers, and celebrations around the world. With the other hand, they ensure that the public remains poor, dependent, and suffocated. How disconnected. How disgusting.”
City officials tell Haredim 10 that the mayor flew to a wedding abroad - and will return to work at the beginning of the week.
Several months ago, Vider demanded that the mayor present full documents: who financed the numerous flights, whether there are any conflicts of interest, whether it is public funding, who approved the trips and what the budgetary sources are. Although the law requires him to respond, the mayor has to this day refused to respond to the council member's demand.
