The work, which was carried out at a total cost of 6 million NIS, included adding turning lanes, stopping bays, sidewalks and lighting - and significantly improves the safety of road users and accessibility to the settlement.

The regulation of the junction is a significant and important step in the regulation of Eviatar as a full-fledged settlement in the council and the State of Israel. The settlement is currently home to over 50 families and the yeshiva has approximately 200 students, 3 of whom fell in the Iron Swords War.

During the event, the head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, thanked Transportation Minister Miri Regev, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Netivei Israel Director General Nissim Peretz, Transportation Chief Yisrael Afriat, the Eviatar Settlement Committee, Rafi Avital, the council's transportation supervisor, and the Nachlah movement, for their support in building the intersection.

""Judea and Samaria is the heart of our homeland, it is the protective belt of the state, and together you are building and paving the future of the people of Israel here, and I would like to salute you for writing this glorious chapter," said Dagan.

""Here in this place, a settlement is growing, and about this place it is said, 'The stone that the builders rejected was the cornerstone.' In this place we learned that the Land of Israel was bought in agony - Eviatar Borovsky and Yehuda Guetta. Today, four years after the settlement of this place, and two years after the government's decision, we stand here with dozens of families, almost 200 students. This place is a place of dedication, a place of love for the Land of Israel, and just as we won through the tremendous dedication of the pioneers here and demolished this tremendous wall, I stand here in this moving position and say: Just as we won in Eviatar, many more Avitarim will rise and be built throughout Judea and Samaria," added Samaria Council Chairman Yossi Dagan.

Minister Bezalel Smotrich: "Upgrading the Eviatar Intersection is another link in the tremendous momentum we are leading in Judea and Samaria, which expresses the depth and our national commitment to the region. We are investing 7 billion NIS in Judea and Samaria roads and are carrying out a transportation revolution that saves lives every day and provides security to tens of thousands of passengers. The new intersection in Eviatar is not just a transportation project but a clear statement: the settlement here remains, strengthens and develops, and we will continue to invest, develop and connect every settlement and every family to the State of Israel.".

Minister of Transportation Miri Regev: "The Eviatar Intersection is a very important transportation project. It is an intersection of security, resilience, and a clear statement that the residents of Samaria, including Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley, are entitled to roads and transportation like anywhere else in the country. After two years of intensive work, we are today adding an important layer of protection for tens of thousands of passengers, and establishing another step on the path to regularizing the Eviatar settlement. We will continue to lead development, safety, and accessibility in all parts of the country, from the center to the settlements - implementing de facto sovereignty."

Malchiel Bar Hai, Chairman of the Eviatar Secretariat: "With excitement and a great sense of commitment, we mark today a milestone of returning to the entire beloved land of our ancestors. We did not come here for personal reasons, but with a dedication that continues the path of the pioneers, soldiers, and mountain residents who gave their lives so that we could build a life here. In the future, just as we were privileged to build and inaugurate the junction here, we will be privileged to establish more settlements throughout the region and in the Gaza Strip, and in the upcoming Hanukkah we will light candles in Nissanit on our way to renewing Jewish settlement in Gaza.".

Daniela Weiss, Chairwoman of the Nachla Movement: "On the day we inaugurate the access road to Eviatar, it is truly fitting to mention a historic breakthrough that occurred in this place – in Eviatar – after 20 years in which not a single new settlement was established in Judea and Samaria. As Prime Minister Netanyahu declared at the time, the Eviatar settlement was blessed and the Nachla Movement was blessed to establish a new settlement that serves as a guide for many. With God's help, we will soon be blessed with the establishment of new settlements in the Gaza Strip.".

Rosh Yeshiva Avinoam in Aviatar, Rabbi David Amitai: "We thank God from the bottom of our hearts and His faithful messengers for arranging the junction. A step up on the path to a real settlement – a settlement that grows with the Torah.".
