As part of a proactive operational activity: Police officers spotted a vehicle traveling without a valid license plate on Abuhatzira Street in Bnei Brak this evening (Monday).
The police ordered the car to stop on the side of the road.
However, the driver did not obey the police instructions and began driving wildly, trying to escape the police.
The police tried to block the suspect's vehicle with their police car, but the fleeing vehicle hit the police car and tried to flee again on Sokolov Street in the heart of Bnei Brak.
The traffic police officers attempted to make contact and ran towards the vehicle, holding drawn weapons, fearing an incident of hostile terrorist activity, while the suspects attempted to escape.
The police arrested the driver - 30 years old - and the passenger, 27 years old, both residents of Bnei Brak, and they were taken for questioning at the police station.
An initial examination conducted revealed that the driver of the vehicle was disqualified from driving by the knowledge of the court.
In addition, his driver's license expired in 2019 and his car license expired in 2024.
A traffic investigator from the Tel Aviv District Police arrived at the scene of the incident.
