Following the extensive infrastructure work on Hazon Ish Street in Bnei Brak, and in combination with winter time and short Fridays, attempts have been made in recent weeks to regulate and stabilize travel routes in the city.
Despite the efforts, last Friday congestion arose that led to the end of travel close to the start of Shabbat, which leads to concerns about desecration of Shabbat.
Out of a commitment to observing the Sabbath and for the public's well-being, the Public Transportation Authority has decided to make immediate changes to the schedules of intercity travel - from Bnei Brak and to it.
The changes will take effect starting this Friday, with the aim of ensuring arrival at the destination in a reasonable time before Shabbat begins.
The traveling public is asked to stay updated at *8787 and at the various information centers regarding the new operating hours and changes in the routes.
