At the end of a 24-hour manhunt: The IDF arrested and eliminated all 17 terrorists who tried to escape from the underground terror infrastructure in eastern Rafah.
This was after the Nahal Brigade's combat team forces operating in eastern Rafah located and arrested another terrorist who tried to escape from the underground infrastructure.
A total of 11 terrorists were eliminated and six were arrested and transferred to the Shin Bet for further investigation.
During Shabbat, the Nahal Brigade's combat team forces operating in the Rafah area conducted searches in the area, during which three terrorists were identified who, according to IDF estimates, escaped from the Rafah tunnels. The force shot and killed them. Apparently, these are terrorists who emerged from the underground route in eastern Rafah yesterday and tried to hide.
Later, the forces identified two more terrorists - and eliminated them.
According to a report on Channel 12, the terrorists captured by the IDF said: "We went outside because we have no water or food.".
The terrorists said that with them were about 30 other terrorists, including a Hamas battalion commander and company commanders, alongside ten more bodies of Hamas members.
The Southern Command managed to cut off this tunnel and apparently those staying in it are having difficulty surviving.
