Yaakov Bardugo, a commentator on Channel 14, commented on his program "Sofshavau" (Weekend) on the words of Gadi Eisenkot on Radio 103, that the Prime Minister stopped his plan to close Galts - this because Bardugo served as a commentator there.
Yinon Magal asked Eisenkot on his program on Radio 103: "At the time, you were in favor of removing the GLA from the army. What is your position today?""
Eisenkot replied: "My position has not changed, I thought that Galei Tzahal was a magnificent station in the place where we were then as Chief of Staff. I thought it was right to remove Galei Tzahal from the IDF, because they broadcast broadcasts there that cause a lot of conflicts.".
Afterwards, Eisenkot spoke about the plan he had devised for this purpose: "You will once again raise an eyebrow, you will be surprised, this was approved for me by the Minister of Defense, I cut them in 2013, I set a three-year process in which they immediately leave the IDF, moving to the Director General of the Ministry of Defense.".
When asked what happened with that, Eisenkot said: "I'll tell you who stopped it. Who stopped it? The one who stopped it was Benjamin Netanyahu, one of whose senior commentators was a man of his, and he prevented the process that had already begun.".
In response to the comments, Bardugo said: "If you connect Gadi Eisenkot to a truth machine - it burns up. Why? Because a year or so ago, he talked about the need to keep Galei Tzahal solely because he saw me there, because I speak there. Gadi Eisenkot, in one of the most confused interviews I've heard in my life.".
Finally, he turned to the former Chief of Staff: "Hey, Gadi Eisenkot, finally say my name. Why do you need to talk? I know I'm giving you ratings on the Kippak.".
