This morning (Tuesday), senior political commentator Amit Segal from News 12 was interviewed by Yinon Magal and Ben Caspit on 103FM radio and spoke about the drama in the Knesset plenum, when Benjamin Netanyahu recognized Judge Yitzhak Amit as the "President of the Supreme Court.".
But even before the interview began, Magal introduced the guest in a mocking manner: "We have Amit Segal, commentator for Tahbala 12.".
Segal ignored the nickname and continued the conversation as usual, without commenting on the nickname he gave to the channel where he is employed.
At the beginning of his remarks, Segal referred to the opening of the Knesset session and the possibility of a unity government being formed: "From Netanyahu's perspective, this is a clear political interest, because in a unity government he is prime minister, there is no other way to form such a government.".
He also discussed the possibility of Netanyahu receiving a pardon: "The basic condition for a pardon is an admission of guilt. I don't see Netanyahu doing that.".
Regarding President Yitzhak Herzog, Segal said: "What bothered me more about Herzog was the meeting with the detainees who tried to set fire to facilities in Rehavia, Jerusalem, while establishing an underground trash burning camp.".
The stormy program began with a monologue by Yinon Magal, who attacked his colleague Ben Caspit. "You are a slave and I am a free man. He who rejects in Momo rejects. You call me a slave when I say in Patriots that I don't see how the prime minister stays in office if he doesn't meet the war goals. You, all you care about is Netanyahu falling. I am an ideologue after all, I care about the war goals, that's why I support the war goals. You support the war goals and the release of the hostages so that Netanyahu falls.".
Ben Caspit responded to his words and expressed his anger: "You are the ideologue, yes. That's why you supported Netanyahu," Caspit sneered. "You are the 'ideologue' accusing me. I didn't say to release Nochboth, I said that Gaza should be destroyed. You just continue to slander, curse and blacken me as if it would help Netanyahu. I praised the pager operation and I thought it should have been done with much greater force.".
