Political commentator Matti Tochfeld joins Maariv's team of commentators and writers.
In his role, Tochfeld, a Chabad follower, will deal with everything that is happening in the political system in its broadest sense, and will publish a regular and in-depth column on Fridays, in print and digitally.
Tochfeld is one of the oldest and most experienced political commentators in Israel and he joins Maariv after about 18 years at Israel Hayom.

Since 2018, he has served as the newspaper's senior political commentator, publishing a regular and influential column every Friday, and before that, he served as the political correspondent and party affairs correspondent.
In his various roles, Tochfeld covered all of the recent election campaigns, gained in-depth knowledge of the political and diplomatic elite, and was involved in a series of significant journalistic exposures.
In addition, Tochfeld hosts a regular news program and serves as a political commentator on the radio station 'Gale Israel'.
