Corinne Gideon, a television host and network host, often talks on her social media accounts about her special connection with the family of her husband, Hili Sorotzkin, who grew up in an ultra-Orthodox home.
Last night, after a family Shabbat, she wrote a moving post about the ultra-Orthodox husband and wife.
""Shabbat in Shtisel," she opened the post and added a winking smiley.
""And just a moment - I didn't plan to write, but we're on the way back now, the kids collapsed in the back seat and I have a moment to think about how I was blessed with this family that from the first moment welcomed me - everything is so different from them - with open arms and a huge hug (actually just the women).
""From then until today, with zero judgment or criticism, and believe me, I made a bunch of jokes and continue to make them, but with caution. Even though there is reciprocity - Hili's father says Torah verses and I teach him about Insta.".
Gideon praised the relationship with the in-laws: "And it's not obvious to be in this situation with a mother-in-law, even when she's from the same sector. I understood that there were problems...""
She added: "In short, I don't know, it's been ten years, it feels so natural, but it's actually my real miracle.".
