The prayer "Our Father, Our God," the heartfelt invocation that accompanies the people of Israel during the Days of Mercy and Forgiveness, receives a new and moving arrangement, a soulful performance by the young singer Benjamin Leifer, together with Haim Pollak.
They are joined by arranger Naftali Landsman, who, in an unusual move, also took an active part in the singing.
The three artists unite their voices into an original string quartet, connecting melodies from the past with new aromas – and giving "Our Father, Our King" a contemporary and inspiring soundtrack.
The musical concept travels throughout the entire holiday period: under the tallit during the blowing of the trumpets, at the Yom Kippur Eve meals, on the holy day itself, to the Tzilla Dehaimanuta in the Sukkah and the Simchat Torah dances.
