Nahorai and Maor, two civilian service members who volunteer at MDA in Ashdod, were honored to save a life this week.

A few days ago, the two were called to a city street, where a man had suddenly collapsed. Thanks to a quick and professional response, they performed complex and prolonged CPR that saved his life.

Last night, Nahorai and Maor arrived at the hospital, where they met the man for the first time, after he had recovered from the difficult event. The volunteers were happy to meet him fully conscious and without significant neurological damage.

The volunteers noted the immense privilege they have in saving a life. "To meet him alive, smiling and recovering, it's a feeling that will continue to accompany us for a long time," they said.

MDA praised the civilian service members for their performance: "The rapid intervention of the young service members led to real life savings. We are proud of our volunteers, who time and again demonstrate exceptional commitment and professionalism.""
