A Turkish hacker managed to obtain Defense Minister Yisrael Katz's phone number, called him via video call, and today (Thursday) shared his recording after he answered.
The Defense Minister claimed that he answered the phone call by mistake, and immediately hung up.
The Turkish hacker, who hissed curses at the minister during the conversation, not only distributed the recording, but also published the minister's phone number. This led to the defense minister receiving numerous threats via the WhatsApp application.
The phone has been disconnected since then.
Katz responded and wrote: "Organized Islamist-jihadist gangs from various countries around the world are calling my unclassified civilian phone and leaving hateful messages and threats. They will continue to call and threaten and I will continue to order the elimination of their fellow terrorist leaders.".
