The Ministry of Defense's Department of Defense, the Office of the Chief Scientist at the Ministry of National Security, and the Prison Service have successfully completed the development and techno-operational demonstration of rail-mounted robots - designed to secure borders, bases, and sensitive facilities, implemented and executed by the company Traxmatic.

The series of experiments was carried out on the walls of the 'Ela' prison in Be'er Sheva and was made possible thanks to cooperation between ministries.

As part of the operational lessons learned in the 'Iron Swords' war, several scenarios were examined during development and testing that simulate existing and future threats that the system may face in routine and during conflict - including: remote detection of people and vehicles, automatic tracking, improved warning capabilities, observation and terrain holding capabilities in difficult visibility conditions. Additional systems and means were also integrated that enable remote operational response.

The project combines security and civilian uses and includes robots that receive energy through inductive charging from the rail, which allows them to operate 24 hours a day without interruption.

The system does not operate alone, and it will be integrated in the near future as part of a defense concept for borders, base camps, and prisons - which contain means and technologies that together constitute an operational complement.

The new capabilities demonstrated in the experiment constitute a significant leap forward in the ability to deal with the threats developing across the country's borders, as well as internal threats to prisons, security facilities, bases, and more.
