Bnei Brak police investigators opened an investigation two weeks ago - Tuesday, Elul 27/8/25 - upon receiving a complaint from a mother that her 6-year-old son had told her that he had been harassed the day before by a stranger in their residential building in the city of Bnei Brak.

A variety of findings and evidence were collected during a rapid investigation. On the day the complaint was filed, patrol officers located the suspect, 23 years old, a resident of Bnei Brak, and arrested him for questioning at the station.

According to the investigation, the suspect approached the 6-year-old boy and asked him for help in a shelter in a residential building on Rabina Street in Bnei Brak. The suspect offered the boy candy and told him to close his eyes and open his mouth. The minor saw that the suspect had taken off his shirt, and after the minor refused, the suspect left the scene.

Meanwhile, the police released the suspect's photo - which led to two additional complaints.

A second complaint revealed that on 8/20/25, the suspect approached a 7-year-old girl on Yaakov Communities Street in Bnei Brak. In this case too, the suspect led the victim to a shelter, where he asked her to close her eyes and she fled the scene.

Another complaint from 2024 revealed a similar incident. On 3/19/24, the suspect asked a 6-year-old boy how to get to a certain street in Bnei Brak and offered him candy. He then laid him on the floor and fled the scene.

Upon completion of the investigation, a prosecutor's statement was filed yesterday. The suspect's detention was extended until Sunday - and the prosecutor's office intends to file an indictment against him.
