The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality was the first to announce that starting today (Monday), the fine for riding scooters and electric bicycles without an identification plate will increase from 100 NIS to 500 NIS.
In addition, the tool may be confiscated, which will result in additional financial charges.
The move comes after government legislation to regulate the identification of electric two-wheelers went into effect more than a year ago.
Since the beginning of the year, over 30,000 reports have been filed and approximately 1,500 tools have been confiscated.
