From the perspective of mango lovers and consumers, the current summer season is a real celebration: stores are receiving a huge, high-quality harvest of fruit, which is sold at an incredibly cheap price of about 6 shekels per kilogram. But on the other side of the equation, for mango growers, the situation is completely opposite - incomes are plummeting, exports to Europe are shrinking due to the war, and the trees in the orchards are collapsing from so much fruit that there is no point in picking.
