
A new survey by the Direct Polls Institute published this evening (Thursday) in the main edition of Channel 14 shows that if the elections were held today, the Likud led by Benjamin Netanyahu would be leading with 34 seats - an increase of one seat compared to the survey published last week.

It is followed by Yisrael Beiteinu with 17 seats, the Democrats with 16, Shas with 10, the State Camp and United Torah Judaism with 8 seats each, Otzma Yehudit with 7, and Religious Zionism with 5. Yesh Atid, Ra'am and Hadash-Ta'al each receive 5 seats. The Balad party does not pass the threshold, with 2.51% of the vote.
In terms of the division into blocs: the right-wing bloc maintains a majority with 64 seats, the left-wing bloc has 46, and the Arab parties hold 10 seats.
Regarding suitability for the prime ministership:
50% of those surveyed prefer Benjamin Netanyahu, compared to 19% for Yair Lapid and 31% who do not support either of them.
In the contest against Benny Gantz, Netanyahu receives 49%, Gantz receives 15%, and 36% answered "none of them.".
Against Avigdor Lieberman, Netanyahu receives 49%, Lieberman 29% and 22% support neither of them.
The survey examined Is the Israeli public satisfied with the activities of Defense Minister Israel Katz in promoting the "voluntary immigration program" for residents of the Gaza Strip?.
The survey findings indicate that the majority of the public is dissatisfied: 59% of those surveyed responded that they are not satisfied with Katz's performance in promoting the voluntary immigration program, which President Trump proposed in his joint statement with Netanyahu in Washington. 14% of those surveyed responded that they are satisfied, while 27% responded that they do not know.
The survey examined What does the public think about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's performance in promoting the absorption of residents from Gaza in countries around the world?. The survey findings indicate that the majority of the public is dissatisfied with his performance: 55% of those surveyed responded that they are dissatisfied with Netanyahu's performance on the issue, while 20% responded that they are satisfied. 25% responded that they do not know.
Should Israel trust US President Donald Trump or look after its own interests? 69% of all respondents responded that Israel should look after its own interests, while 25% of respondents thought that Israel could trust Trump. 6% responded that they did not know.
Does the public think that the Ombudsman should end her position in light of her conflicts of interest, which were also exposed in the High Court, or not? Although there was no significant gap, the survey findings indicate that the majority of the public thinks that the Ombudsman should terminate her position due to this conflict of interest.
54% of the respondents responded that the Attorney General Gali Baharv Miyara should end her position, while 43% of the respondents agreed that she should not end her position. Only 3% responded that they did not know.
