Avi Shoshan, a panelist on the show "The Patriots," revealed this evening (Saturday) that he observed Shabbat as it was - for the first time since he stopped 26 years ago.
According to him, this is the most sane Shabbat he has experienced in recent years.
""Yinon, after 26 years, I observed Shabbat properly for the first time," said Shoshan. "Not only did I observe Shabbat - I was with my cousin, my age, Rabbi Avraham Abuhatzeira. I call him Avichai. His father is the Chief Rabbi of Ramla, Rabbi Yechiel. He said to me: 'Father, come to Shabbat.' And I went with my children, they are here in the audience - I went to Shabbat with them.".
Shoshan continued to describe: "We turned off the phones, I prayed today in Benz. I'm telling you - I had an experience. And you know what? When I was 16-17, you look at the secular world, thinking how much fun they have: going to the beach on Shabbat, phones, safaris... Walla, I had the most sane Shabbat I've had in recent years. No nerves to go to the safari, no fever in my nerves, and no riots on the way to the beach. Calm children, calm Shabbat. Suddenly I said to myself: Wait - so why did I leave that?".
