In preparation for the Lag BaOmer celebration in Meron, a dedicated video was produced by the Ministry of Jerusalem and Jewish Tradition, which presents in a clear and accessible way the updated map of the area on Mount Meron, with a detailed explanation of the ways to get there, the routes of ascent to the holy site, the prayer complexes, the lighting areas, and the exit routes from the complex.
The video is available in three languages - Hebrew, Yiddish and English - to reach the entire immigrant community from all over the country and the world.
The video is specifically aimed at the thousands of people coming to Hilulah, and aims to ensure a safe, orderly, and smooth Aliyah to commemorate Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai - while maintaining public order and the safety of all participants.
Among the innovations shown in the video:
The Hilula headquarters notes that this year's preparations are based on the successful 2013 outline, and emphasizes that the video is intended to illustrate to immigrants all the stops along the way - from getting off the shuttle to leaving Zion - in order to prevent confusion, congestion, and unnecessary dangers.
The Hilula headquarters urges the public to watch the video, share – and come prepared. "Making the pilgrimage to Meron is a privilege – and this year, thanks to the preparation and responsibility, it is also joyful and safe.".
