The import and distribution company Diplomat announced today (Monday) the increase in prices of chocolate and coffee products by approximately 15%.

The price increase will take effect on May 1, 2025.

Among the products that will increase in price: Mondelli products, which include chocolate cookies such as Oreo and Milka; JDE products, which include Jacobs instant coffee and capsules; and FLORA products, including "Blue Band" margarine.

The Diplomat explained the price increase: "In the past year, there have been significant increases in the production costs of various products from manufacturers around the world, due in part to a sharp increase in the prices of cocoa and coffee.

"After a considerable period in which we were able to maintain product prices, some of the international manufacturers informed us of a price update. Accordingly, we are required to update the product prices of three manufacturers by a rate of between 14% and 15%. It should be emphasized that the price to the consumer is determined by the retailer and is subject to his sole discretion."

In addition to Diplomat's announcement about the increase in the price of its products, the price of regulated milk is also expected to increase by 1.4% next month.
