Composer Yossi Green has launched a new single - "Tear", in memory of the Chabad emissary to the Emirates, Rabbi Zvi Kogan, who was murdered a month ago by an Uzbek squad.

""A few years ago, my wife and I had the opportunity to visit Dubai," Green said. "As is our custom, we only travel to destinations where we can be within walking distance of a Chabad house. This allows us to meet and get to know a dear and enlightened Chabad emissary and his family, in addition to other Jews traveling there, as well as local Jews who are drawn closer to Judaism thanks to the emissary's beautiful work.".

He added: "During our visit to Dubai, the emissary, Rabbi Levi Duchman, was out of town on Shabbat, and his place was filled as assistant emissary by Rabbi Zvi Kogan. The warm and holy impression he left on us on this Shabbat was unforgettable, as was Rabbi Kogan himself.".

The composer spoke about the difficult feelings after the murder. "When we heard about the tragedy, it was devastating for us personally and for everyone we know. Every time I thought about him, I couldn't stop the tears that flowed.

""One night, as I sat at the piano, these words from the prophecy of Isaiah, along with words I added from the prophecy of Jeremiah, were my attempt to find comfort in the sacred words of the Bible.

""May this be the last time we cry and shed tears, and may it symbolize the beginning of our entry into the light of our righteous Messiah.".
