Interior Minister Moshe Arbel of Shas last night addressed the ceasefire with his heart - and called for the upcoming government meeting to be held in Metula or Kiryat Shmona.
"After talks I held this evening with heads of authorities on the conflict line in the north," Arbel said, "I call on the Prime Minister to hold the upcoming government meeting in Metula or Kiryat Shmona and in the process prove the government's absolute commitment to the security of the citizens of the north.".
However, it was the Minister of the Negev and the Galilee, Yitzhak Wasserlauf, who spoke today (Wednesday) in closed talks about the situation in the north after the ceasefire - and claimed that if a government meeting is held in Metula, increased security will be required not only due to Hezbollah threats, but also due to the frustration and anger of the residents of the north.
According to a report by Motti Castel, Channel 14's political correspondent, Wasserlauf reflected in closed-door conversations the feelings of residents who were forced to evacuate their homes and were left with many question marks about their return and ensuring their safety.
""If they want to hold the next government meeting in Metula, they will have to increase security, this time not because of Hezbollah, but because of the residents. They are hurt and angry," he said.
At 4 a.m., the ceasefire with Hezbollah went into effect, but residents are still unable to return to their homes.
