It's happening to them again: Leading media outlets in Turkey fell for a Hebrew wordplay - revealing that the person behind the assassination of Hamas' political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran was none other than an Israeli Mossad agent, Colonel Amit Nakash.

In the hours that have passed since the covert operation by "Amit Nakash", some of those Turkish media outlets have realized the deception and deleted the news - but some of them are still reporting on the "exposure".

The Akdeniz Gerçek newspaper expanded and published a profile article about Amit Nakash: "According to information from foreign sources, the assassin who murdered Ismail Haniyeh has been identified as 'Amit Nakash.' So who is Mossad agent Amit Nakash? Amit Nakash is one of the experienced agents of the Mossad, Israel's secret intelligence service.

""Nakash, who served as an officer in a secret intelligence unit in the Israel Defense Forces, later joined the Mossad and participated in high-level operations. Amit Nakash, who specializes in assassination and intelligence operations, played critical roles in various operations against targets that Israel considers enemies. It is known that Nakash is an Israeli citizen and has served in the Israeli security forces for many years.".

Last May, the French-language news channel of the I24NEWS network was embarrassed when one of the commentators quoted live a report published on several Arabic-language Telegram channels, stating that "Mossad agent 'Ali Kofter' served as the pilot of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's helicopter in the crash in which he died.".

The channel issued an apology: "We regret the mistake that occurred live and apologize to the viewers. We will learn from the incident and do everything possible to ensure that mistakes of this type do not happen again.".
