The IDF published documentation of the activities of Division 98 fighters in Khan Yunis this afternoon (Tuesday), after completing its activities in the area that night.
The fighters destroyed over 100 kilometers of underground tunnels, located dozens of senior compounds and tunnels where the hostages were hidden. The 7th Brigade Combat Teams, paratroopers and commandos operated in the area for about a week.
During a search of a shaft located in Khan Yunis, division fighters killed Muhammad Gamil Muhammad Astal, a commander in the sniper formation in the Khan Yunis area.

During the operation, the fighters, in a joint operation with the Shin Bet, rescued the murdered abductee Maya Goren, and the abducted martyrs Major (Res.) Ravid Aryeh Katz, Major (Res.) Oren Goldin, Sergeant Tomer Achimas, and Sergeant Kirill Brodsky, who were kidnapped and murdered by Hamas on October 7th.
