The Wikipedia entry on Avner Netanyahu, the Prime Minister's son, which was deleted last April, was restored after it became clear that fictitious accounts also took part in the deletion vote.
In 24 hours it will happen: Who will win 120,000 NIS in the lottery in question?
The deletion of the entry was done, among other things, at the request of Avner Netanyahu, who wrote: "I am the subject of the entry (Avner Netanyahu) and I do not see any importance for the public in the existence of this entry. The entry is poor in any case."
In the vote held in April, there was a majority in favor of deletion - 75 supporters against 54 opponents, and the entry was indeed deleted.
However, in the meantime, the entry has been restored - and a message has been added at the top of the page: "This page is being voted on to be deleted."
The talk page reads: "Hello to the followers of the page, in accordance with the 2024 vote and discussion bias affair, it was discovered that 16 fictitious accounts participated in the last vote, which changed the results of the vote. Therefore, another deletion vote will open in about 23 hours."
According to a report on News 12, the fictitious accounts have been deleted from Wikipedia and as a result, the edits of the 16 accounts are being re-examined.
The edits to the fictitious accounts were made, among other things, to the entries Yair Ansbacher, Rabbi Israel Abergel, the elections for the 26th Knesset, and more - and they will be opened for re-voting, deleted, or undergo some change following the editors' blocking.
