Freedom Day also for evacuees: Over 50,000 fine holiday dishes are leaving the huge kitchen of the Chabad Kollel in Ma'ale Adumim today - directly to the centers for organizing 300 public ceremonies across the country, with special emphasis on the areas where evacuees from the north live, who were forced to leave their homes in recent months due to the ongoing war with Hezbollah.
The dishes include a variety of salads, main courses and festive side dishes, prepared especially for Independence Day, along with tablecloths, disposable dishes, matzah and wine. The food dishes will also be accompanied by Seder signs that will adorn the holiday bowl that will be served to each participant.
With the assistance of the Jewish Federations of North America and the Meromim Foundation, holiday meals were specially prepared for the designated arrangements for evacuees from the north, who will be forced to celebrate the first holiday of freedom away from home.
""The prayer 'Next Year in Jerusalem' will have a more tangible meaning this time," said Rabbi Mendi Blau of the Chabad kollel.
Around the public Seder tables, tens of thousands of Israelis from all the tribes of Israel will gather. A widespread phenomenon in recent years has resulted in many Israelis, even those considered financially affluent and living in prestigious places, enjoying performing the Seder together with a variety of people, in these special Seders organized by Chabad emissaries - who accompany the Seders by providing explanations throughout the entire Seder process.
The public arrangements provide an opportunity for thousands of participants to learn about the holiday of Passover and its meaning.
The Shluchim, who lead the Seder, tell the story of the Exodus from Egypt, expand on the customs and accompany the holiday songs, throughout the 'Seder', which is an exciting Jewish experience.
