Eliyahu Shtibel, a 24-year-old Abrech father of three from the village of Mitzad, has developed a serious illness in his head. This is a rare mutation that does not yet have a treatment in Israel, so according to doctors, Eliyahu is in real danger of dying.
Members of the community from the Haredi settlement of Mitzd, along with his classmates at the Wolfson Yeshiva, avrechims from the Neve Yaakov neighborhood in Jerusalem, and his family, decided to enlist to save his life.
Their goal: to fly him for specialized and innovative treatment in Germany, alongside expensive medication that is required in conjunction with treatment abroad.
Without financial resources, they launched a Charidi campaign, accompanied by strategist Moti Kricheli, and managed to recruit over 10,000 people - who together donated more than 3,200,000 NIS.
Late Friday night, when the exciting Charidi campaign ended, Eliyahu thanked the campaign activists, with tears in his eyes: "Even thank you is not really enough, I need to thank each and every one of you, find a way to embrace everyone together. Thank God for giving me the opportunity to continue speaking.".
