Green and invested workshops were held for families from all over the country, as part of the National Food Security Initiative.

The project is operated by the Ministry of Social Affairs and includes Chabad, and is intended for low-income families, with the aim of ensuring accessibility, availability, and stability in obtaining balanced, healthy, and diverse food in a respectful and appropriate manner.

The project operates through the Chabad Kollel, and within its framework, there are designated coordinators who are responsible for operating the project, and are in continuous contact with the families - who run various workshops to build the social resilience of the project's consumers.

As part of the activity, families receive shopping cards on a continuous basis, which eases their financial situation.

In workshops for Tu B'Shvat, which were held over the weekend, family members enjoyed a story screened about Rosh Hashanah and the importance of eating fruit, and also made colorful fruit skewers and personal flower pots.

The workshops, as mentioned, were held all over the country. One of the most notable was held in Bnei Brak, where family members participated in a fruit cutting workshop with master craftsman Gitti Diner.

""The women were captivated and initially did not believe in their ability to succeed and make a tray designed in a respectable and aesthetically pleasing manner," said one of the participants, "and indeed, each participant created a particularly impressive fruit tray! The women left happy and truly satisfied, and they could not stop thanking each other for the opportunity.".

In Kiryat Yam, the family members heard fascinating stories about the fruits that made the Land of Israel famous and later prepared a huge fruit salad, alongside a particularly delicious smoothie.
