The incident occurred when three Arabs recognized Haddad and began to curse him, with one of them even spitting in the direction of his leg.
Haddad called the police, and after an exchange of words between all parties, the spitting attacker - a resident of the city of Eilat who is known to the police - apologized to the information activist, in Hebrew and Arabic.
Today (Wednesday), Haddad addressed the incident on his Instagram account and said: "First of all, it's important for me to reassure everyone. Not only is everything okay, since yesterday in Eilat I've had an amazing experience and I'm meeting amazing people, and this little incident didn't affect the visit at all. I feel the safest here!"
""I have already been attacked in one way or another by that extreme minority because of my activities and because of who I am, and despite the threats that occur every day, I only get stronger from this because I know that this is proof that my approach has an impact and is actually threatening them!""
He later referred to the apology he received from the attacker: "The very fact that that attacker apologized to me in Hebrew and Arabic, believe me, hurts him more than anything - his honor is on the floor now and it also humiliates him more than anything. And yes, it will also deter anyone who thinks that if he curses or spits then we will be silent and absorbed. No more.".
