A Jerusalem resident was arrested by police on suspicion of committing sexual offenses against minors. His detention was extended in court and police are working to locate additional victims.
Earlier this month, the police received a report about a suspect in central Jerusalem who was sexually harassing minors.
Police officers from the Lev Habira police station in the Jerusalem district who arrived at the scene arrested the suspect (35) and he was taken for questioning at the police station.
According to the suspicion, the suspect Moshe Berkowitz harmed minors and committed sexual offenses against them, with the youngest of his victims being 6 years old, and also consumed pedophilia content.
Due to the seriousness of his actions and at the request of the police, the suspect's detention was extended once again this week in court by 8 days, until 12/31/23.
Alongside the investigative activities conducted by the Lev Habira police station, the suspicion that there were additional cases in which the suspect was involved is being examined, and the police are working to locate additional victims of the suspect's actions.
The police are appealing to the public: Anyone who has been harmed by the suspect's actions, or by actions with similar characteristics, is asked to contact the police station nearest to their place of residence and report it.
The police investigation is ongoing.
