Journalist Ben Caspit reported that over the past few years, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was presented with six different operations to eliminate Yahya Sinwar.
The operations were presented by the last three Shin Bet chiefs - Yoram Cohen, Nadav Argaman and Ronen Bar. However, according to the report, Netanyahu rejected all of them.
According to the report, these are not just theoretical plans, but operations that were already organized and prepared.
Also, Hamas' Nuhba forces most recently increased by 100%, which did not raise a red flag in Israeli intelligence.
Netanyahu's office denied the publication.
Yisrael Beiteinu Party Chairman MK Avigdor Lieberman responded on his Twitter account: "I read that Netanyahu denied the news published by Ben Caspit that he had prevented himself from eliminating Yahya Sinwar at least six times.
""Netanyahu can deny from tomorrow until Bab al-Wad. He is the one who granted immunity to Yahya Sinwar and the Hamas leaders, and prevented any attempt to thwart them. I am not writing this out of speculation, I am writing this in the knowledge of the news as someone who knows the issue personally.".
""And this, of course, is added to the news in the French newspaper Le Figaro from recent days, that Netanyahu agreed with the Qatari government that there will be no targeted assassinations of Hamas leaders on Qatari soil.".
