On Seder night, he stayed with his daughter in Bnei Brak, telling stories of the Exodus from Egypt, until he suddenly collapsed and was evacuated by rescue workers to the Mayanei Hayeshua Hospital.

He spent his life in education as a supervisor in the Ministry of Education. When he retired, he began studying as a full-time student at the Be'er HaTorah Yeshiva, and attended all of the classes of the Gaon Rabbi Gabriel Yosef Levi. About a month ago, the Rabbi Auerbach came to visit him in the hospital.

His funeral will leave at 1:00 PM from his home at 73 Beit Vegan Street, Jerusalem, for Mount Hamunehot.
