Apple continues to break its own records. In the first weekend of the new smartphone's release, Apple sold no less than 10 million iPhone 6 devices.
In a statement released today by the company, it was reported that sales of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus surpassed sales of the company's previous models - the iPhone 5S and 5C, which then reached 9 million after launch.
CEO Tim Cook said: "We couldn't be happier. Apple could have sold many more devices if it had more inventory, and we're working to fulfill orders as quickly as possible.".
It should be noted that so far the iPhone 6 has not been sold in China, which greatly reduces the potential sales volume.
In the first 24 hours of launch, Apple received more than 4 million pre-orders for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which was also a new sales record for the technology giant.
