
Baruch Dayan, the truth teller: On Saturday morning, the eminent rabbi, Rabbi Nissim Kogman, zt"l, a resident of the sixth district in the city of Ashdod, passed away suddenly at the age of 41.
The late, z"l, prayed at the Chida synagogue in the city, where he was among the most important worshippers - and was known for the Torah lessons he gave, in which he won the hearts of many.
According to a report on the Ashdods website, last Friday he spent time with his children at the beach like every Friday.
On Shabbat night, he held the Shabbat night meal with his family, and on Shabbat morning, during prayer, he suffered a cardiac arrest, collapsed, and died, to the shock of his family and many acquaintances.
The late Zt"l was a learned scholar, God-fearing, who helped others greatly. He wrote the book 'The Short Mitzvahs'.".
He left behind a wife and 7 children, the youngest of whom was only 4 years old - and 13 brothers and sisters.
The funeral procession left this evening around midnight for the cemetery in Ashdod, where he was buried.
