Lipa Shmeltzer, one of the greatest singers in the Haredi sector, published a video before the holiday - under the title "Sharing a personal message about growth and challenges before the giving of the Torah 5883" - in which he revealed that he was assaulted as a child.
""I've been through a lot of hard things in my life," Lipa said in a video he posted on his YouTube channel. "At that time, they would take this child to live somewhere else, without going to trial, without calling it rape. I don't want to make a story out of it. I'm not looking to go back and judge people, I want to move on.".
Lipa, who lives in New York State, emphasized: "I'm telling this after a lot of thought, to be at peace with myself, with all the families who listen to my music, so that they really know who the Lipa is who is struggling inside.".

Alongside the video, he wrote: "I did not review this video before posting it. I am simply speaking from the heart and sharing my personal experiences. I pray that the messages will make a difference in someone's life.".
