The KKL-JNF celebrates Tu B'Shvat, the New Year of Trees, with a series of events at various locations in the Haredi sector.
Participants in the events receive a special set of the best fruits produced in the country, and craft and learning kits about the trees in the Land of Israel, the different varieties of forest trees that grow in the country, and about KKL-JNF's activities to preserve and cultivate forests.
In the agricultural complexes of the JNF, halachic instructions regarding the Shemitah year were implemented according to the rulings of Rabbi Ze'ev Wittman and Rabbi Yosef Efrati, who instructed farmers on how to act throughout the entire year, in order to properly care for the trees, while adhering to the halachic guidelines of the Shemitah commandment.
In addition, the Israel National Foundation holds special activities for children, in the olive and carob growing areas, where the Otzar Beit Din was held.
The children arrived during the harvest seasons and took part in the activity of harvesting and collecting the olives, in order to bring them to the press and produce olive oil from them that will be distributed at various locations as part of the Otzar Beit Din.
In addition, KKL-JNF produced a unique product for the first time, "natural carob paste" from KKL-JNF's carob orchards, from the carobs collected under the Beit Din treasury and used for the benefit of the general public.
KKL-JNF holds various events and activities for the religious and ultra-Orthodox sectors.
Various events are currently being planned to take place over the coming year, in which all ages will enjoy tailored events.
