The Jerusalem District Criminal Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment today (Tuesday) with the city's District Court against Eliyahu Israeli, 38, a resident of Beit Shemesh - after he committed serious crimes against minors in Russia and Israel.

According to the indictment, filed through attorney Yifat Pinhasi-Nevo, the defendant worked as a teacher and was later appointed principal of the 'Reshit Hochma' school in Moscow during the years 2012-2015.

Over the years and on various occasions, the defendant committed serious acts against a minor and two minors, aged 10-13, who attended the school.

In several cases, the defendant called minors to his room at school, locked the room, and committed serious crimes in them. In another case, during the lessons in which the defendant taught the minor, he called him, every day, to stand near the teacher's desk, where he committed serious crimes against him.

While the defendant was in Israel, during the past few months, he committed serious acts against a minor aged about 15 while they were staying at the defendant's home, where he also took intimate photos of him.

In addition, the defendant photographed minors in the mikveh and possessed photos and videos of minors using the Telegram app installed on his cell phone.

The indictment accuses the defendant of committing numerous offenses of indecent assault under the circumstances of rape, committing sodomy, committing an indecent act, and possessing obscene advertising.

The prosecution is asking the court to order the arrest of the defendant until the end of the legal proceedings against him.
