Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu launched his book 'Bibi: The Story of My Life' this evening (Monday) at the Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem.

At the event, Netanyahu was awarded a 'Platinum Book' certificate, after over 40,000 copies of the book were sold in a short time.

Netanyahu invited publishers, writers, journalists, and several family members to the event.

Netanyahu said at the event: "In my life I was saved from death. After that, in my political life I died three times. In '99 - death. In 2006 - we lost. Death. And a year and a half ago, you remember. At each of the deaths there were obituaries, and the obituaries were not so flattering. The most important of them was that of the 'greatest commentator' (Amnon Abramovich) who explained that I was a 'footnote.' It is a great privilege, not every person gets to have obituaries three times in their lives. I wrote the purpose of my life, to ensure the security, prosperity and success of the Jewish state. It is a thread that is woven and runs through our family history. Wait for the next volume. The sequel will come," he said at the event.

He also presented the difference between the autobiography he wrote and the various biographies written about him: "You can't achieve results if you don't outline a policy, if you don't go through the mud. When you go through the mud, you discover many good things and people. Without politics, there is no purpose. The biographies written about me were written about the mud, but they don't touch the essence, the purpose.".
