Prime Minister Yair Lapid gave interviews to news channels 11, 12, and 13 and provided a number of interesting statements, including on the question of forming a government with the joint party, and his wife's interview in question regarding his military service.
He was asked about the fear of the elimination of left-wing parties and said: "I don't know of any poll in which Meretz and Labor don't pass. We are monitoring this. We have to work harder. In recent days, we have to work really smart. 60,000 are undecided between the blocs, and we will have to make more efforts in the coming days.".
Regarding the Arab parties, Lapid said that he would not form a government with Hadash-Ta'al, but refused to commit to not seeking their support.
The issue of the ultra-Orthodox parties also came up in interviews, and Lapid refused to dispel the fog: "I don't want to talk about everything on television. After the elections, we will talk to whoever is needed to form a government - I will know how to form a government even under complex conditions.",
The gas agreement with Lebanon is also expected to be signed tomorrow, which has sparked quite a bit of criticism from the right-wing bloc. "I've been sitting in cabinets and on the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee since 2013, and I don't remember such a consensus in the defense establishment as in this case," Lapid claimed. "Not only did we receive permission not to bring this to the Knesset, the High Court of Justice also ruled that we don't need to bring this to the Knesset for approval.".
Finally, the issue of Lapid's military service is now up for discussion, with countless conflicting versions and one explosive interview by his wife, Lihi. The interim prime minister addressed this and said:
""The only thing the Likud was able to find about me is a recycled story from 41 years ago. I served in the camp for three years in the army. Anyone who wants to know what I did in the army should go to the 'in the camp' archive. Lihi didn't like what happened yesterday in the interview on Channel 13. She came to the interview and they asked her questions about Sara Netanyahu and they broadcast the things she said after she left the interview. Sara Netanyahu didn't do anything bad to me or Lihi. Tears came to her eyes and she returned home with tears in her eyes. I'm not sure it's a journalistic achievement to make my wife cry.".
