Media personality Yair Sharki, a journalist for News 12, posted a new photo on his social media today (Sunday) in honor of Rosh Hashanah - in which he is seen without the wigs, which were his familiar symbol.
And the reactions from the surfers were quick to pour in.
Reshef Shai, screenwriter of Eretz Nehederet, wrote to him: "Not since Amir Peretz's mustache has there been such a sensation.".
Journalist Avishai Greenzig from Globes wrote: "Let it be the year of flamboyant wigs.".

Bruria Avidan Barir, former editor of 'La'isha': "Yair Sharki said goodbye to wigs? A religious act or a fashion statement? Are we left with only the wigs of the young Haredi journalist Melech {Zvi Elimelech} Zilbershlag?"'
Haaretz journalist Haim Levinson responded: "Okay, so you're 30 years old with a full head of hair. Why poke eyes at a new profile picture?".
And one of the users responded: "Too bad, you ruined all your uniqueness in n12. Even though the current look is better.".
And another surfer wrote: "Now Al Jazeera will have to find a new pet peeve. It's a shame you gave up on the gimmick.".
And there was someone who tweeted: "The wigs, that's what made you special. What a shame.".
