Free Israel Party Chairman Eli Avidar recently approached Hadar Mukhtar, founder of the Burning Youth party, with a proposal to explore political cooperation in the upcoming elections. This was reported today (Wednesday) by Tal Shalev on the Walla website.

According to political sources, Avidar suggested to Mukhtar that they consider running together - but she refused.
The main reason: because of his identification as an opponent of Benjamin Netanyahu and his desire to appeal to as broad a young audience as possible.
Mukhtar confirmed the details.
Avidar's representative told Walla: "We do not comment on conversations with contacts.".
In recent weeks, Mukhtar has been running an online campaign to promote the "Burning Youth" party she founded - whose main focus is on issues of the cost of living.
Since she is only 20 years old, she cannot run for the Knesset herself, but she has registered her party with the Registrar of Parties and intends to run other candidates.
Avidar, whose party is very far from passing the electoral threshold, also contacted the chairman of the Ra'am party, Mansour Abbas. Ra'am party sources told Walla that the talks are not serious and assessed the chances of the party including a liberal Jewish representative on the list as extremely low.
