The big picture that comes from the outside that it is a progressive city, moving forward. It has expanded my heart so much to visit the Torah studies today at the beginning of the month of Elul, to see the children in the institutions and the teachers. To visit the yeshiva hall and see the spirit of the Torah and the hard work that went into it. A great pleasure. I want them to be proud of your community and its great achievements, its impressive development. I wish you a fruitful and successful school year, a month of forgiveness and mercy that will bring forgiveness and mercy and answer our prayers for the better, so that we may see the coming year for the better, with grace, mercy, joy and peace."

Elad Mayor, Rabbi Israel Porush: "The President of the State, Mr. Yitzhak Herzog, honored us by choosing to open the school year at the Torah institutions in Elad. This is an important statement about the recognition of the importance of students in all institutions, both Haredi and Torah. The President accompanied and supported Elad in his previous positions, and we thank him for that. In all his positions, the President showed a very broad heart, for the hardship of families, for the well-being of the residents, and we were always moved by this. Today, we also saw the President's sympathy for Torah students, and his direct acquaintance with the Haredi way of life. We wish all the thousands of students in the city a successful and fruitful school year."
