'The Rabbinical Committee for Media Affairs, controlled by Gur, is losing its monopoly on the Haredi public: Maran Rosh HaYeshiva, Rabbi Edelstein, established an exchange body called the 'Vaad Bnei Torah Committee for the Kashrut of Cell Phones', which formulated a professional plan to continue protecting the kashrut of cell phones even after the Minister of Communications' reform takes effect.
The new body is currently working to sign renewed agreements with the cellular companies - agreements that will meet the requirements of the law, but will protect the kosherness of the phones in the hands of the Haredi public.
The establishment of the replacement body for the 'Rabbin Committee for Communications Affairs' took shape last Adar, when Maran HaGarib Edelstein summoned Garav Diskin, Rosh Yeshiva 'Erchot Torah' in Bnei Brak, along with several other rabbis, and founded the 'Bnei Torah Committee for the Kashrut of Telephones'.

The new Rabbinical Committee began working with Communications Minister Yoaz Hendel and the 'Rabbinical Committee for Media Affairs', which has operated to this day.
The rabbis initially tried to reach agreements with the 'Rabbinical Committee for Media Affairs', in order to provide the public with clean and kosher media, while fully caring for all the public's needs.
However, according to them, after much effort, the rabbis came to the understanding that the Rabbinical Committee for Media Affairs still does not want to take care of the needs of all communities and the public, according to the opinion and guidance of the great men of Israel.
In light of this, it was decided by Maran HaGir'a Edelstein to establish a body "that will take care of the entire Haredi public - those who observe the Torah and mitzvot, who are interested in kosher and clean media.".
According to the new body, on the day that Minister Yoaz Hendel's new reform, which will abolish the "Koshrah" level, goes into effect, the entire public will act according to the "Torah Committee for the Kosherization of Telephones" - and will receive kosher and elegant communications, as instructed by the great men of Israel and under their guidance.
This morning, the newspaper Yated Ne'eman reported that, at the initiative of the new body, an expanded legal team convened, along with some of the best cellular technology experts in the country, to discuss how to defend against the intention to cancel the "training level.".
According to the report, the professional team formulated solutions for protection, in such a way that the Ministry of Communications reform will not be able to cause any harm to the service, and at the same time the public will be able to enjoy safe and high-quality communications.
Yated further states that the public is asked to continue to vigilantly follow the instructions of the "Torah Committee for the Kashrut of Telephones" only, since it is the body that operates under the instructions of the Maran Rosh Yeshiva, the Rabbi Edelstein, and all the great men of Israel - and that the entire Haredi public is destined to unite under the new body.
At the same time, the 'Bnei Torah Committee for the Kashrut of Telephones' will continue to work through all legal channels to cancel Minister Hendel's reform.
