Born to his father, Rabbi Benzion Shalom Friedman, the late.
In his youth, he studied at the Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva and was one of the students of the legendary Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Kesselman, zt"l.

He married the daughter of the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Yaakov Weiss, zt"l, Gab"d of the Neve Ahiezer neighborhood in Bnei Brak.
He was one of the first settlers of Kiryat Chabad in Safed, and in his role as a member of the Kiryat Chabad Association, he was involved in its construction for many years, as director of the Construction and Development Department.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Miriam, his children: Rabbi Ben Zion of Safed, Rabbi Yoel of Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Itzik of Safed, Rabbi Meni of Connecticut, Rabbi Zvika, Rabbi Shmulik of Lod, his daughter, Mrs. Tami Weisberg - and many descendants.
His funeral will leave at 5:30 PM from the Levi Yitzhak Hall in Kiryat Chabad to the cemetery in the city of the Kabbalists.
