""We were waiting at a bus stop and talking to each other. Suddenly they started shooting non-stop from point blank range, there was no time to react. I tried to quickly cock the weapon but I couldn't. I looked at my hand and saw that I had been shot, but because of the adrenaline I didn't feel it.

According to her, "The terrorist came so close to me. I saw that he had a weapon in his hand, he didn't stop spraying.".
She paid tribute to her friend Shiral Abukert, who was murdered: "She was a funny and loving girl. Hugging and happy all day. We were together every day - all day. I hope I can go to her funeral.".

She also said in an interview on Channel 13: "I still suffer from pain. I was shot in my left hand, above the elbow. The bullet crushed my bone. I still can't digest it and I can't believe I miraculously got out of it like this. God protected me. I got out of it cheaply.".
The fighter also said that even though she was injured, she still wants to return and serve in the company.
She recounted the sequence of events: "I and three other fighters were returning from a course, we were at the central station. We were waiting for the bus, and in a split second two guys arrived and sprayed us with gunfire. They shot at us from point blank range. I caught the bullet first. I tried to respond by shooting. I tried to cock the weapon but I couldn't. I looked at my hand and saw that I had been shot, I probably didn't feel it because of the adrenaline. I realized there was nothing I could do, and I tried to hide.
""Another fighter who was with me took two bullets in the back. He managed to step on the weapon and fired several bullets in their direction. We were both wounded and tried to find cover and how to respond. They continued to shoot non-stop, they didn't stop spraying.
""We moved away and one of them ran after us and continued shooting without stopping. The fighters who were killed are heroes, two angels who didn't deserve it. They had no chance to respond - without the undercover officers who eliminated the terrorists, it would have completely turned into a massacre.".
The district commander, Superintendent Yoram Sofer, visited at noon at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera the four Border Police soldiers who were injured last night in the attack, including the fighters from the undercover unit who neutralized the terrorists who carried out the shooting.
The district commander told the wounded: "If you had not been present at the scene, the incident could have ended more severely. In this unfortunate event, your mutual commitment and courage can be seen. We will support the families in whatever is required and wish you a speedy recovery.".
