
500 grams dried peas
1 carrot, grated
1 onion, cut into small cubes
2 liters of water
A spoonful of salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• Fry the onion until lightly golden brown.
• Add the carrots and fry together for a few minutes.
• Add the dried peas and continue to fry with the onion and carrot for a few minutes.
• Add water, salt and pepper.
• Bring to a boil over high heat.
• After a few minutes of boiling, reduce the heat and cook for 3-4 hours over low heat, until the peas have dissolved into the soup.
